Jodhpur: Legends League Cricket will start on 20 September at Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. In the third season of the league, 25 matches will be played between 6 teams. The final will be played between the top-2 teams. The final match will be played on 16 October at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
Shikhar Dhawan, who recently retired from international cricket, and Dinesh Karthik, who said goodbye to cricket earlier this year, will now be seen playing in Legends League Cricket. After almost 40 years, the world’s legendary cricketers will be seen playing in Srinagar.
Cricket will be played in Kashmir after 40 years
All the matches of the league will be played in Srinagar, Jodhpur and Surat. Legends League Cricket co-founder Raman Raheja said, “Legends League Cricket is back for another season. We are very excited to play in Kashmir this season. This is a great opportunity for the people of Kashmir to come to the stadium and watch live cricket action for the first time in almost 40 years.” Auction will be held on Thursday
He said, “This is an opportunity for cricketers to experience the beauty of Kashmir and enjoy the love of the people of Srinagar.”
The organizers said that 18 crore people watched the 19 matches played in the last season of the league.
110 legendary cricketers including Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor participated in the second season of Legends League Cricket.
The league will start in Jodhpur and then reach Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat.
The third phase will be played at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu. The auction of players for the event will be held on Thursday.
